PrayFAST

Email shelnutt@prayfast.org to sign-up to be a Prayer Warrior.

PrayFAST (Pray For A Soldier Team) is a focused initiative of Fort Hood to give every deploying soldier an opportunity to sign up for a Personal Prayer Warrior who has committed to pray daily for their Soldier and his/her family for protections, finances, Unit Chaplain, or anything that affects the Soldier or family.

PrayFAST is a prayer ministry based at Fort Hood in Killeen, Texas. This ministry reaches out to soldiers at their deployment time with an offer to have someone pray for them while they are away and for three months after they return. Praying for the Soldier the additional three months helps the Soldiers and their family members to rebuild their relationships after the deployment.

While many soldiers already have a good support system of family, friends and churches, many do not and PrayFAST tries to reach these young soldiers.

Five Talents

fivetalents.org

Five Talents fights poverty, creates jobs, and transforms lives by empowering the poor in developing countries using innovative savings and microcredit programs, business training, and spiritual development.

Five Talents was commended as a long-term response to the ravages of poverty that debilitate communities in developing countries at the 1998 Lambeth Conference, a global meeting of Anglican leaders in Canterbury, England. The founders, including Anglican Church leaders, were deeply concerned by the plight of the poor and those dying of famine, AIDS/HIV and other diseases. They wanted not only to assist, but also to guard the dignity of the poor, many of whom survive on $1 a day, by supporting them in small businesses.

International Justice Mission is a human rights agency that secures justice for victims of slavery, sexual exploitation, and other forms of violent oppression. International Justice Mission lawyers, investigators and aftercare professionals work with local officials to ensure immediate victim rescue and aftercare, to prosecute perpetrators and to promote functioning public justice systems.
